Took Faith to speech Monday (much like most Monday's) she didn't want to do anything her Speech Path was asking her to do, but when we went to the office to check out she gave Mr. Jackson (speech path) a big hug and I though I heard her say "lue eue"....I asked her, what did you say? She said it again to Mr. Jackson, 'lue eue'...*clearly* he's not a bad guy AND she still likes people who make her do work.
I have got to see Faith with both communication devices side-by-side and I know we picked the right one for her. We have the letter from the Occupational Therapist, Speech Path, and the doctor all written up and video of her actually using and showing interest in the device.
Last week I also saw her play catch with a ball with her brother for the very first time, ever. It was so AWESOME to watch. I even started to tear up, or as Angelus would say..."happy cry".
I was also talking to the O.T. about Angelus as he sometimes has to go in a different part of his classroom because noises are too loud for him to handle and he can't concentrate on his work. I'm glad he's able to articulate that and the teachers are willing to work with him on that. Anyway, she thought he might have a very, very mild case of sensory issues...I think that too, there's other things besides that that made me think that. BUT he doesn't need to see anyone for it although she thinks some music therapy on him might just do the trick. So, when we start music therapy with Faith we will do it with him too. He does love music so pretty sure he'll like this kinda therapy.
We got to watch him in his first ever basketball games yesterday. He did...well, it's a good thing God made him academically gifted. He had a great time and was ready to go do it again today. He came home with a medal today from it. He was SO excited about it, I am too. It's great for him to just have fun and try new and different things.

Tommy's been trying to find different employment, but not having a lot of luck which is disappointing for us both at the moment. Something will turn up, eventually (just REALLY wish it was sooner than later).

Monday we're also gonna take our puppy, Boadie, in to get spade...(however that's spelled). I sure do hope this will make her more docile. I'm also gonna ask the vet to clip her stinking nails. Those suckers HURT when she climbs up on you. Here's a quick kind of "catch up" on how parts of the Brownell house hold is doing.
